Hearings began in the Central District Military Court in the case of the Ural political...

The Central District Military Court began hearings in the case of Ural political strategist Yaroslav Shirshikov, accused under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Public justification of terrorism using the media, or electronic or information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet).

He is accused of a post he published on his telegram channel “Hussar Bravado” about the death of Maxim Fomin (known as Vladlen Tatarsky).

Let us remember that Yaroslav Shirshikov was the host when his friend, American journalist Evan Gershkovich, arrived in Yekaterinburg. After Evan’s arrest, Shirshikov, including in an interview with the Cheka-OGPU, refuted the FSB version that the foreigner was asking about military-industrial complex enterprises and spying. He insisted that Gershkovich was engaged exclusively in journalistic activities.
