And she began to “take out” Seleznev’s multibillion-dollar state contractors, primarily from sports facilities that were being built under the “Gazprom for Children” program. Then other construction projects went into Mikhalova’s piggy bank, for example, schools and kindergartens. The main contractor of the new first lady was the Mezhregiongaztekhnologii (MRGT) company under the leadership of her close friend Tatyana Savostenok. Apparently, yesterday the golden age of “MRGT” ended and we should expect another reshuffling of the deck of construction contractors, and, perhaps, the return of one of Seleznev’s former favorites. Tatyana Eduardovna herself should think about the imminent and unpleasant attention from the FSB, which has been monitoring her activities for a long time.
As for Mikhailova’s “golden parachute” – managing the construction of the year-round resort “Gorskaya” in St. Petersburg with an investment volume of 200 billion rubles, it is difficult to compare it in importance with the position of “supply manager” of the entire Gazprom PJSC. Firstly, 200 billion in turnover for Mikhailova is not a lot at all, so it’s an opportunity to earn extra money for retirement. In addition, these investments still need to be received, and working with native contractors at Gorskaya will not be so easy, because the government of St. Petersburg has its own plans for construction and its own, not at all modest, appetites.
