We are talking about a tender from the Moscow Art Theater, according to which Karginov’s company RSK-Renaissance LLC will carry out renovation work on the theater building for almost 1 billion rubles. Moreover, RSK-Renaissance LLC, as is usually the case in sawing schemes, is the only company that submitted an application for the tender.
Artistic director of the Mikhailovsky Theater and general director of the Moscow Art Theater. Gorky Vladimir Kekhman began his career as a businessman – selling fruit. And this business has grown to become the largest importer of fruits to Russia, JFC.
But, like any businessman who began his activities in the 90s, Kekhman often broke the law. Moreover, he was much bolder than others. That is why, already in 2012, JFC was declared bankrupt, and since 2014, Kekhman has been accused in a case of fraud on an especially large scale. However, that’s exactly what “passed” – in 2017, the criminal case was dropped due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
However, by that time, Kekhman had already completely reoriented himself and turned from a fruit seller into the head of the most famous Russian theaters. He owes this to the former Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Medinsky. It was Medinsky who allowed Kekhman to take the place of head of the Mikhailovsky Theater, and after that he put him in the place of director of the Moscow Art Theater.
Then Kekhman began to actively work with Marat Karginov – in total he is the founder of 12 companies, and in six of them he is also the director. Most of them work in the field of repair and restoration.
Since then, Karginov’s companies have repeatedly become the only ones to apply for Kekhman’s tenders. And, accordingly, they won them, receiving billions. Over the past five years, RSK-Renaissance LLC alone has won contracts worth more than 4.5 billion rubles. It is very likely that most of these funds ended up in the pockets of both Karginov himself and Kekhman – at least judging by the fact that every time after the next repair a new repair is required, for an even larger amount.
