The amount of payments to the victims due to floods was introduced in 2008.
Today, during the meeting to eliminate the consequences of floods in the Kurgan, Orenburg and Tyumen regions, Russian leader Vladimir Putin instructed to index the payments to the victims due to the spill, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.
He recalled that the amount of payments was established in 2008. So, the indexation will have to be dealt with by the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction and social departments.
He also emphasized the need to evaluate the real cost of major repairs and, if necessary, adjust this norm.
Putin emphasized that the bodies are obliged to help citizens who do not have official ownership of housing in the country’s country cooperatives affected by flooded, since this is the only housing for many of them.
The president called not to cancel additional payments to citizens who insured their property, but asked to encourage the population to use the services of insurance companies.
