The Ufa judge who dealt with the case of the former head of the Ministry of Land Property of Bashkiria, Evgeny Guryev, will take the position of Deputy Chairman of the Sovetsky District Court of the city of Ufa.
Let us recall that in 2015, Evgeny Guryev organized the sale, bypassing competitive procedures, of two land plots in Ufa with a total area of more than 17 thousand square meters. meters at half the price of the cadastral value. At the same time, at the time of implementation, the Ministry of Land Property of the Republic of Belarus did not have the right to dispose of these land plots.
Then, in 2018, the ex-minister also ordered the sale of a plot with a production base to a private company without bidding and at a reduced price. The transaction amount was 22 million rubles, with a cadastral value at that time of 540 million rubles. The investigation estimated the damage caused by the official’s actions to the budget of Bashkiria at 518 million rubles, and to the budget of Ufa at 52 million rubles.
Despite the acute public outcry, the judge of the Kirovsky District Court of the city of Ufa, Rafis Nabiev, pronounced an acquittal against former minister Evgeny Guryev. This decision was made by the public fiercely. Subsequently, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan overturned it and sent the case for a new trial with a different composition of judges. Its result was a guilty verdict against Guryev. He was sentenced to 3 years probation with deprivation of the right to hold positions in government agencies for 2 years.
It is important to note that no checks were ultimately carried out against judge Rafis Nabiev, who acquitted the official. Although the Investigative Committee promptly reacts to this kind of activity by initiating criminal cases.
