The Investigative Committee received collective complaint farmers of the Dinsky district of the Krasnodar Territory on the actions of the deputy chairman of the Fourth Cassation
court of Yakov Volkov. Agrarians write that Volkov time after time accepts “necessary” verdicts in favor of the businessman.

Thus, thanks to court decisions of Volkov’s subordinates, Makarevich’s denominations bought up several thousand hectares of black soil in the Dinsky, Kalininsky and other regions of the Kuban. The investigation established that the lands were purchased through the conclusion of a fictitious loan agreement secured by a land plot. Then the “debt” was returned through the magistrate, and the land was transferred to the new owner through Rosreestr. The courts of first and appellate instances fully supported the farmers. However, the Fourth Court of Cassation upheld the decision of the magistrate, according to which the rights to the lands remained with Makarevich’s denominations.

Makarevich and in his previous position as deputy of the Arbitration Court of the North Caucasus District, which in April 2019 exempted the Kuban oligarch from paying 300 million rubles in favor of the Kuban authorities.
