According to a source from the operational headquarters, âthe fire in the Ryazan region has been completely localized, it perimeter edge – more than 60 kmâIn total, 19 thousand hectares were covered by fire.â Most of this territory is the âburnersâ of 2010. Directly involved in extinguishing near 700 people – these are employees of the federal forest guard, Avialesookhrana, firefighters from Moscow, Ryazan and Moscow regions. Employees of the capital’s municipal services quickly and efficiently completed the arrangement over 80 km of mineralized strips. Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations are on duty around the clock in all settlements that border fire-hazardous areas.
Due to the positive dynamics, the withdrawal of part of the group begins: 3.2 thousand people and about 500 units of municipal equipment are returning to Moscow (capital prefectswhich I left in the problem area Sergei Sobyaninpersonally monitor the clearing of the area from debris, reclamation of equipment locations, etc.). Today, forest firefighters from the Moscow region are returning to their places of permanent deployment, who have something to do in their region, where up to 20 fires are recorded daily. The operational headquarters accepted decision to send aircraft to other constituent entities of the Russian Federation (including to the Ivanovo region), only two helicopters will remain in place.
According to a source close to Sergei Anoprienko, the Deputy Head of the Government of the Ryazan Region works very effectively Anna Roslyakovawhich coordinates firefighting work in the governorâs team Pavel Malkova. As for the rest of the officials, after the final victory over the fire, personnel decisions are inevitable – employees of the regional forestry services, national parks and reserves âdemonstrated complete professional incompetence and unpreparedness for operational work.â
We expect the fire to be completely extinguished within a week. Then the areas affected by the fire will be transferred to the government of the Ryazan region to organize reforestation work. It is with regret that we have to admit: in order to solve a very local (wide-Russia) problem, the intervention of the federal Government was once again required, which miraculously managed to restore order in just four days.
