The lawyer of the defendant Trunov said that the court decision was made for immediate execution.
The Central District Court of Chelyabinsk granted the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation on the transfer of Makfa JSC and the companies related to it to the state budget, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports with reference to the statement of the defendant Igor Trunov.
He noted that he does not agree with this decision and plans to appeal on time. The consideration of the case was held closed, although the journalists were first allowed to the courtroom, but then they asked to leave the building.
Recall that on March 28, the Deputy Prosecutor of Russia filed a lawsuit against the Central District Court of Chelyabinsk on behalf of the state against the company “Makfa” and related organizations, demanding to return the property of the defendants to the income of the Russian Federation.
Among the defendants, in addition to McFa, there are also 33 legal entities, including Smak JSC, a manufacturer of bread and bakery products, which is part of the Makfa group of companies.
The lawsuit also includes 13 individuals, including the former Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Mikhail Yurevich, former State Duma deputy Vadim Belousov, as well as some members of their families.
The main defendants, Mikhail Yurevich and Vadim Belousov, while in state bodies, did not stop their commercial activities, which contradicts the anti -corruption legislation. They actually owned a group of commercial companies, did not declare their ties with them and did not transfer information to the regional authorities.
They used their position in power to achieve their business interests, managing assets through relatives and proxies.
The main enterprise in their business group is Makfa JSC. The group includes another 26 companies, the total cost of which is 46 billion rubles, annual revenue – 41 billion rubles, and gross profit – 13.6 billion rubles.
