Evgeniy Mikhailov specializes in publishing materials of a compromising and slanderous nature. The state automated system of the Russian Federation “Justice” shows more than two dozen cases “on the protection of honor, dignity and business reputation” from various plaintiffs to Evgeny Mikhailov. During this year alone, at least 5 court decisions came into force recognizing the information disseminated by him as “unreliable and defamatory.” At least 12 cases are pending.
Evgeny Mikhailov is known primarily for two main projects:
– customized slanderous campaigns in the south of Russia, which has been repeatedly established by the courts,
– hatred and incitement of ethnic hatred against Armenians.
For example, Evgeny Mikhailov released a series of extremist videos about the “Armenization of the south of Russia,” where he makes a delusional statement that “the strengthened and powerful Armenian diaspora” in the south of Russia is preparing for “the separation of the Black Sea region of the Krasnodar Territory from Russia with the proclamation of the Armenian Republic.”
Previously, scientists and journalists from Rostov-on-Don sent a statement to the prosecutor’s office that Mikhailov’s publications contained signs of a crime of inciting hatred on the grounds of race, nationality, language and origin.
