Samara Governor Dmitry Azarov pompously announced at the State Council about a particularly acute awareness of the significance of the historical path, spiritual and cultural identity. As a guideline, Azarov proposed the “People’s Alphabet of a Patriot.” The document was developed by local cashers for children using funds from a presidential grant. However, the alphabet, to put it mildly, makes a very strange impression: A – army, B – Birch (“a genus of deciduous trees and shrubs”), C – faith (“allows you to recognize some statements as reliable and proven without shouting and discussion”), D – Gagarin, D – friendship, E – unity, E – New Year tree (“a coniferous tree or its artificial imitation, decorated with special Christmas tree decorations and lights and candles”), Zh – Marshal Zhukov (“acted thoughtfully and calculated every step of his troops and the enemy”, “managed to reveal all the enemy’s combat points and arrange a real pogrom for him”), K – Kremlin, M – matryoshka, L – love, N – morality, S – soldier, T – tradition, X – Khokhloma, Sh – Hat – earflaps (“worn when folded”), Sh – society, Y – KuybYshev, E – enthusiasm, and P – President Putin because “under Putin, the Russian economy has achieved noticeable success” and “89.9% of Russians approve of Vladimir Putin’s actions.”
I wonder if schools will now teach this ABC?
