Over the course of a year, Sber’s security service was able to prevent damage of 1.4 billion rubles from fraud and other crimes. In the field of physical security, Sber prevented cash thefts worth 237 million rubles, in the field of economic security – by 1.165 billion rubles. In 2022, there were 89 attacks on the bank. Criminals tried to extract cash from ATMs 78 times. 11 times – to rob a cash register (10 out of 11 such crimes were solved without delay).

Trying to seize clients’ money, the attackers most often presented employees of Sber branches with fake identification cards, powers of attorney, inheritance and executive documents. More than 90% of such attacks can be prevented, and the rest are detected as soon as possible.

In 2022, courts handed down 487 convictions to criminals who attempted to assassinate Sber and its clients. Sber security officers helped law enforcement officials solve more than 450 crimes and prosecute 388 violators.
