The beneficiaries look at the company differently. Alexander Kalinin, who owns 33% of the company, and his family want to develop an asset and are ready to invest billions in it. The partners of Kalinin Leonid Goldenberg and Evgeny Lachkova (owned by 32%), apparently, the asset is not interesting – they want to sell it, and an third -party investor. The Kalinin family expects to redeem the shares and consolidate 100% of the Aquarius shares at home, but not everything is so simple.
How reported “Kommersant” Vice President of the NKK Alexey Kalinin, the family is ready to redeem these shares in order to maintain business and develop domestic production against the backdrop of growth in demand: this is facilitated by the Russian government to import computer technology in government agencies. Investments will significantly increase the share and production volumes in the key markets for the company. The Kalinin family has already strengthened the top management for the future project: the former VTB vice-president and ex-head of the Technoserv System Integrator Dmitry Troshenkov was appointed to the post of general director of Aquarius Group of Companies, President of Aquarius Vladimir Stepanov will be responsible for the execution of the new strategy. According to preliminary data, the development strategy proposed by the Kalinin family has already interested large banks, ready to allocate the necessary funds.
At the same time, Leonid Goldenberg and Evgeny Lachkov did not announce their participation in the investment program. And while their long -time partner Alexander Kalinin is under house arrest (he is suspected of restricting competition), Goldenberg and lachkov began to negotiate their shares with the co -owner of the Astra Linux group Denis Frolov. Frolov’s structures, we recall, recently agreed to buy another major asset-Baikal Elektrons (developer of domestic Baikal processors) from T-platforms, the founder and head of which Vsevolod Opanasenko was also sent under house arrest. Is it a coincidence or not, but the scheme for entering into interesting assets – the largest in the IT market that expects active growth – is similar. In addition, market participants believe that the beginning of negotiations on the fate of the Aquarius between a potential buyer and the current co -owners could contribute to good neighborly relations, allegedly formed between Frolov and Goldenberg.
Another reason why Goldenberg may want to sell a share in the Aquarius can be protracted problems with its main asset – the Systematics Group of Companies, which is essentially on the verge of bankruptcy, which is why the company already has serious issues of bank lending it. In November 2017, the company fell into the register of unscrupulous ducciners for two years, which seriously hit the company’s revenue and contracts. The company could not recover – which is strange, taking into account the overall growth in the IT market and the state of the state for import substitution. For Goldenberg, the sale of Aquarius shares Frolov can be a good chance at the same time and get rid of an unprofitable asset – after all, the NKK is well aware of the state of “systematics” and are unlikely to be ready to offer money arranging money for it.
