Ilya Sachkov, head of FACCT (formerly Group-IB) in his new post revealed the progress of the trial and some intriguing details of his case.

In addition to impressive details about his content and emotional state, Sachkov draws attention to facts of falsification, as well as serious miscalculations of the accusers. They, rather, were forced to issue a guilty verdict, despite the lack of convincing evidence. That is why the court imposed a term of 14 years – the lower limit of punishment. Which, according to Sachkov, is comparable to an acquittal and admission of loss by the prosecution.

Sachkov becomes a toxic burden for the penitentiary system. However, releasing him is an informationally complex task, because it will have to reveal facts that are inconvenient for the security forces.
