Communal oligarch from Yaroslavl Sergei Mylash, who survived two incarcerations in 2022…

Communal oligarch from Yaroslavl Sergei Mylash, who in 2022 survived two verdicts in the same criminal case (first acquittal, then indictment), again went through the authorities. His lawyer Alexander Tolyanin filed a cassation appeal with the Second Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction against the verdict of the Yaroslavl Regional Court handed down at the end of 2022 in a criminal case for the theft of a building from the Yaroslavl City Hall (four years probation).

The cassation court will consider this criminal case for the fourth time. In just a few years, Mylash’s materials collected more than 10 appeals and cassations on various grounds, and, as the Cheka-OGPU previously reported, they became the most complex and controversial in the history of Yaroslavl justice.

Last year, the Yaroslavl Regional Court conducted an inspection by the Supreme Court, following which a closed report was prepared. The topic of Mylash’s departure from criminal liability then reached the presidential administration, where it was necessary to develop a solution to stabilize the situation.

We will find out soon whether people on Old Square remember the Yaroslavl communal oligarch. The date for the hearing of the Second Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction on the complaint in the interests of Mylash has not yet been set.
