The chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation with the consent of the Higher Qualification Collegium of Judges of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against the judge of the Moscow Arbitration Court Elena Kondrat. She is suspected of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (mediation in bribery). The criminal proceedings were entrusted to employees of the second department for the investigation of particularly important cases (on crimes against state power and in the economy) of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the city of Moscow.

The first that operational work was conducted in relation to Elena Kondrat was informed of the Cheka-OGPU.

According to the investigation, Elena Kondrat had, by virtue of the position held by the information that her colleague in the arbitration court was considering the arbitration case. In September 2020, both women were in one of the Moscow restaurants, where Kondrata told the colleague that persons who were ready to transfer funds in the amount of 50 thousand US dollars were addressed in the event of a decision on the non -subsidiary liability of a number of individuals and legal entities passing in this case. In the future, during telephone negotiations and personal meetings, Kondrat convinced the colleague in the arbitration court to make the above decision in the framework of the arbitration case for monetary reward, and she decided to act as an intermediary when transferring funds. However, she appealed to law enforcement agencies, in connection with which the transaction was under the control of operational services.
Currently, a set of investigative actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime committed. The investigation continues.
