Based on materials received from sources in the largest oil company – Gazprom Neft PJSC, a pre-investigation check on suspicion of committing fraudulent actions has been launched in relation to the Samara enterprises of the German group of companies “KRONE” in the UEBiPK Main Internal Affairs Directorate for the Samara Region of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

KRONE-Engineering and KRONE-Avtomatika, subsidiaries of the German Kanex KROHNE Anlagen Export GmbH, have been producing control and measuring instruments under the German KROHNE brand in Samara for more than 10 years for the needs of oil and gas companies. After the start of the SVO, the German owners officially abandoned doing business in Russia and Belarus and broke all official ties with their Russian enterprise, leaving all assets for the preservation of the general director of Krone-engineering LLC, Nikolai Sidorov.

As it turned out, Nikolai Sidorov, realizing that such a chance comes only once in a lifetime, registered a group of controlled legal entities in the name of his wife’s son, with the goal of withdrawing German assets and liquidating German companies, since KRONE-Russia is without German supplies and German software provision is unable to carry out further activities in the production of equipment for the Russian oil industry.

The pre-investigation materials collected by law enforcement officers relate to the execution of current contracts of KRONE-Engineering and KRONE-Automatika, since after the withdrawal of Nikolai Sidorov and his wife Irina Orekhova from KRONE-Engineering and KRONE-Automatika under the guise of loans of hundreds of millions of rubles in the fall of 2022, a real threat arose to the execution of current contracts, including the execution of scandalous contract for the supply of equipment for the reconstruction of a delayed coking unit for the Omsk Oil Refinery, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft PJSC.

It also became known about the commercial offer made to Nikolay Sidorov and Irina Orekhova to purchase the remains of KRONE-Russia from former Russian competitors of KROHNE, however, the compliance procedure was not completed due to Irina Orekhova’s concealment of the debt of KRONE-Engineering and KRONE -Avtomatika” to the parent company.
