Denis Linkevicius is the son of the former deputy general director of the RTI group of companies (specializing in software development, communications, creation and maintenance of computing infrastructure) Alexander Linkevicius. Linkevicius Jr. was detained on September 27, 2019, together with the deputy head of the procurement department of the RZP, on charges of receiving a bribe by a group of persons by prior conspiracy on an especially large scale (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The court found that the lieutenant colonel, who was responsible for quality control and acceptance of RZP products and was obliged to participate in the preparation of draft contracts for the development and production of controlled products of the plant, agreed with the deputy head of the procurement department for a bribe to assist the general director of Svetozar Component – Electronic Components LLC and LLC ” Svetozar Component” in eliminating obstacles when accepting engines and components at the plant that do not meet the requirements of supply contracts for the implementation of a government contract.
The Yaroslavl Garrison Military Court sentenced Linvevicius on September 20, 2021 to seven years of strict regime and a fine of 6 million rubles, and also stripped him of the rank of lieutenant colonel and banned him from holding certain positions for a period of five years. In the colony he worked as a seamstress. The colony administration supported the defense’s motion to commute the sentence, but the prosecutor objected. The court’s decision entered into legal force.
