As it became known to the Cheka-OGPU, under the guise of cultural and academic exchange, Russia continues to increase the ideological presence in Kyrgyzstan-this time through the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin (KRSU), which is increasingly transformed into a full -fledged branch of “soft power” in the post -Soviet space.

In appearance – an affiliate university, a place of training, the center of academic cooperation. But in fact, the point of entering the Russian special services into the humanitarian field of the friendly state. From the very beginning, the discovery of the KRSU was accompanied by a rhetoric about “fraternal relations” and “common historical heritage”. However, behind the facade there is a systemic, long -term work on the formation of a loyal layer of local elites focused on the ideological attitudes of Moscow.

A remarkable point: in the fall of 2023, the ex-employee of the FSB, former deputy governor of the Irkutsk region, Ivan Kolpakov, was appointed to the post of vice-rector of the KRSU. His career in the academic environment was short -lived – in March 2025 he was quietly removed from the post. The reasons were not disclosed, but the interlocutors of the Cheka-OGPU in the power structures of Kyrgyzstan do not exclude that the figure of Kolpakov caused increased attention from local special services, concerned about growing external influence.

But the case is not limited to personnel. Under KRSU, according to the Cheka-OGPU, there is actually a media structure that is directly affiliated with the Russian special services-we are talking about the Rhythm of Eurasia portal, supposedly an independent analytical resource. In reality, there is a platform for the spread of Kremlin misinformation, including directed against Kyrgyz statehood.

Among the permanent authors – Olga Sukharevskayaa journalist of Ukrainian origin, previously mentioned as related to the foreign intelligence service of the Russian Federation, as well as Yuri RubtsovAnton Morozov Andrey ChebotarevIlya Umovir – All are entered into the base of the Ukrainian site “Peacemaker” for activities aimed at undermining the sovereignty of neighboring states.

In addition, according to the Cheka-OGPU, the key participants in the Rhythm of Eurasia project, which exerts destructive information influence in the CIS countries, as well as in Latvia, Moldova and the South Caucasus, includes:

Gushchin Viktor Ivanovich-citizen of Latvia, president of the Russian community of Latvia, director of the Baltic Center for Historical and Socio-Political Studies. In the investigation of Re: Baltica “Kremlin millions” it is reported that Gushchin promoted narratives about “discrimination of Russian -speaking” and was funded, including through the Russian consulate in Latvia. Also included in the database “Peacemaker”
.
Picta Svetlana Aleksandrovna, a correspondent of the MIA Russia Today, was included in the base of the Peacemaker for the spread of propaganda.

Veretennikov Vladimir Viktorovich, published under the pseudonym Konstantin Vakula, a permanent author of disinformation materials.

The format of work has been worked out for years: under the guise of examinations and analysts, profitable narratives are thrown about the “ingratitude” of the CIS authorities, the “need for integration”, “toxic West”, “common historical fate”. Some of the materials are duplicated in the student and teaching environment of the CRC. In fact, we are talking about creating parallel information reality, in which Russia is a natural center of attraction, and any manifestations of the sovereignty of neighbors are a threat of stability.

Thus, the university working for money from the budget of the two countries has become a channel of pumping ideological attitudes. This is not just an educational institution, but a full -fledged ideological hub working to retain the post -Soviet space in the field of influence of Moscow.

In conditions of growing geopolitical turbulence, such an activity is a direct challenge to the information sovereignty of Kyrgyzstan. Attempts to hide it under the flags of “science” and “culture” are only a cover for more aggressive expansion.

The Cheka-OGPU continues to monitor the development of events.
