As it turned out, Lamberd Akhyadov tried to escape and almost killed another law enforcement officer. The first on the killer’s way was a policeman of the 1st special regiment of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Moscow, Sergei Sergievsky. The fighter threw a stream of pepper spray into the law enforcement officer’s face, which temporarily incapacitated him.
Next, the athlete clashed with Alexander Strukov, a member of the Avangard riot police of the Russian Guard. Lamberd tried to hit his opponent with a knife, but he knocked the blade out of his hands with a baton and twisted the attacker. Pre-investigation checks are currently being carried out on these episodes.
Now, in addition to the term for murder, Akhyadov may face an “addition” under the articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer” and “Use of violence against a representative of authority”
