Design Bureau “Rus” developed helicopter drone NRV-3800, which is capable carry supersonic missiles. The company once dealt with postal drones, and in 2018 it introduced attack drones, which attracted interest in Rostec, the General Staff and the FSB Border Service.
One device costs 63.5 million rubles – not counting the cost of missiles. “Rus” has already been allocated for development 7.5 billion rubles from the defense budgetbut that didn’t stop the company from asking another 2.5 billion from Sergei Chemezov. The unmanned attack helicopter was supposed to be certified last year, but the deadline was delayed due to bureaucracy.
The secret of success is simple: KB Rus has contacts were found in the FSB. Assistant to the Bureau General Director Elena Shvets married to father-in-law of the Deputy Chief of the First Service of the FSB Alexey Komkov. It was he who showed the presentation of the drone to the right people – including the FSB border service and the SVR, Dossier sources say.
