One of the stories concerns the construction of a new bath complex for Governor Texler at the expense of the corporation headed by Atamanchenko. In 2021, a fire occurred on the territory of the “regional committee dachas”, where the governor’s residence is located, destroying the old bathhouse complex. According to people familiar with the situation, Texler and his wife are to blame for careless handling of fire. But instead of compensation for damage by the perpetrators, a criminal scheme was born.
In 2022, the corporation under the management of Atamanchenko began construction of a new sports and recreation complex in the Sosnovsky district of the Chelyabinsk region, concluding numerous contracts. Only the sports and sports complex did not appear in that place, and could not have – the permitted type of land use for the construction of sports facilities is not suitable. But at Texler’s residence there is a new bathhousebuilt with money allocated for the sports complex. This story is only a small part of what the detainee told.
Atamanchenko’s arrest and his testimony jeopardize the position of Governor Texler, who, according to the investigation, is involved in corruption schemes for using budget funds for personal purposes through structures under his control.
