The head of the Republic of North Ossetia, Sergei Chanyilo, on June 15, in his official telegram channel, said that the cable-on at the Mamison resort will work daily and invited residents and guests of the region to actively use this opportunity. According to the initial project, at the Mamison resort, it was supposed to put and mount the cables of the Austrian company Doppelmayr, which specializes in the production of cable cars and equipment for them. However, the pandemic, and then – international sanctions in May 2022 led to the termination of the contract. As a result, the contract was concluded with the company “Ruslet”, which positions itself as the only manufacturer in Russia with 100% localization.
The company declares on its website that it is capable of producing up to 20 cableways per year on the production site under construction in Tver, where key production operations are allegedly localized – the manufacture of metal structures, processing on CNC machines, plasma cutting and assembly of equipment. On April 4, 2025, the company’s products were included in the register of Russian industrial products.
It would seem that everything is blessed and beautiful, but serious problems are discovered behind the beautiful wrap of import substitution in Russian.
Equipment delivered to the Mamison resort by the new “Russian” manufacturer, in fact, was not able to work with 100% load. Therefore, when on March 14, 2025 the resort was solemnly opened, then on March 26 an emergency happened. Due to the overload of the drive station, the shaft tied the main gearbox and the cardan mechanism, the bearing node also failed due to overheating. In addition, during the operation and commissioning when traveling to the station and contacting the clip with a rail, which in turn had to open this clamp, a clip breakdown and an uncontrolled unproving occurred. Fortunately, None of the people were injured.
The whole April-May work of the cable ribbed, they worked with the load in the maximum performance of 30-40% of the necessary and a significant part of the time were on maintenance. In the May-first half of June, they replaced shafts and bearings to ensure uninterrupted operation of cable roads. However, the overload of the drive station remains unchanged, in fact the cable roads of the “Russian” manufacturer will never be able to work with a load of more than 30-40 %% – The high risk of new emergencies with possible human victims is preserved.
A detailed technical examination is required – it is necessary to check by the regulatory authorities of persons who deceive the Russian state and are at risk of the life of our fellow citizens.
