Rolls-Royce plans to increase US production to avoid Trump tariffs

Manufacturing giant Rolls-Royce is reportedly planning to expand production in the US to mitigate the effects of Donald Trump’s trade policies.

According to The Telegraph, the Derby-based company is exploring strategies to reduce the impact of tariffs, which may include increasing its US workforce and expanding operations in North America.

This comes after the US President imposed tariffs on Canada, China, and Mexico, while also threatening the UK and Europe.

Reports suggest that Rolls-Royce is assessing how much production can be relocated from affected countries to the US, where it currently employs 6,000 workers.

Shifting production would enable the company to take on more new projects without being impacted by tariffs.
