Canada launches trade dispute over Chinese agriculture, fishery duties: WTO

Canada’s overall trade deficit narrows, surplus with US widens

Canada has launched a fresh dispute at the World Trade Organization with China over additional duties slapped on agricultural and fishery products, the international body said Monday.

“Canada has requested WTO dispute consultations with China concerning Chinese measures that impose additional import duties on certain agricultural and fishery products from Canada,” the organisation said.
