The Russian economy demonstrates confident growth, despite the existing challenges, President Vladimir Putin said during a direct line, the correspondent of The Moscow Post reports.

“Last year, it ended with an increase of 3.6%, and this year we expect an indicator of about 3.9%, perhaps even 4%. Thus, the total growth in two years is about 8%,” the head of state noted.

Putin also compared the rates of economic growth of Russia with other countries. “

In the same period, the US economy increased by 5.6%, and in Germany the growth amounted to 0%, he emphasized.

The president emphasized that Russia ranks fourth in terms of economic growth. “The United States is in the first place, the second is behind China, the third position of India. We managed to get ahead of Germany. However, we are not going to stop there,” summed up Vladimir Putin.
