For comparison: before that, crimes against constitutional rights and freedoms, as well as other crimes committed at the objects of railway, air or water transport, were to the competence of the transport investigation; crimes committed by employees of enterprises, institutions and organizations in the field of transport and transport construction; crimes committed by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in transport, customs and transport prosecutors, investigative bodies of the IC in transport, as well as units of the authorities engaged in transport and transport construction, in connection with the performance of official duties; crimes committed in relation to these persons in connection with their official activities; smuggling and other crimes in the customs sphere identified by the relevant investigative authority of the IC of Russia in transport.
It turns out that now the investigation in all the above crimes will be carried out by the territorial investigative bodies of the UK.
In connection with such a reduction in the investigation, it was possible to reform the investigative departments in transport in the form of their full abolition, with the transfer of the investigative departments in transport to the territorials. How possible this scenario is possible, time will tell.
