On October 15, 2021, at about 15 hours 30 minutes in the federal state institution, the correctional colony No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Medical University of the Republic of Medical University of the Republic of Medical University at least two hundred people serving a sentence in the indicated correctional institution took part in the riots accompanied by pogroms and the destruction of property. Employees of special forces who arrived at the place held measures to restore order, there were no injured. According to this fact, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1, 2 tbsp. 212 of the Criminal Code (organization and participation in the riots).
Currently, investigative actions and operational-search measures are carried out, aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident. The investigation of the criminal case continues.
