According to the Cheka-OGPU, in the Krasnodar region, the former deputy head of the Internal Security Directorate of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Moscow Region, Evgeniy Pavlovich Bakharev, who was on the federal wanted list for a long time, was detained. Bakharev, together with the head of the traffic police department for the Leninsky district of the Moscow region, Yuri Shashurin, tried to obtain a bribe for general patronage from the CSS for Shashurin’s replacement in his position. However, something went wrong, and Shashurin was detained, and in 2020 he received a five-year suspended sentence. And Bakharev went on the run.

Interestingly, as a child, Yuri Shashurin was well known to the public as an actor. He starred in ten episodes of the Soviet-Russian humorous film magazine “Yeralash”. Cinema publications call his most famous role the image of a failed goalkeeper in an episode called “The Brazilian System.” Shashurin was convinced to leave the acting profession and become a policeman by his father, a former state security officer.
