Ukraine says Russia advancing ‘200-300 metres a day’ near Kurakhove

Russian troops are advancing by around 200-300 metres a day near the Ukrainian hub of Kurakhove in the eastern Donetsk region, a source in Kyiv’s military told AFP on Friday.

“The enemy is advancing there. It is advancing 200-300 metres a day,” the source said, describing the situation as “worse” than around the strategic town of Pokrovsk, also a key prize for Russian forces.
