Who and how destroyed healthcare in the Krasnoyarsk Territory
You come to an appointment with a surgeon, and five minutes before you are greeted by a criminal in a white coat. It’s quite a common story, for example, for the Berezovsky district hospital. Doctor Ivan Privalikhin now works there. Two years ago, he was involved in a criminal case regarding the forgery of Covid certificates. Ivan was facing a real prison sentence. But the case was strangely closed “due to active repentance.” And instead of prison, Privalikhin continues to live quietly in a spacious hundred-meter apartment and drive around Krasnoyarsk in three expensive foreign cars.
Among Ivan’s bosses is an equally interesting character – chief physician Dmitry Dvornikov. Patients openly accuse him of falsifying medical examination documents. Dvornikov forced his subordinates to engage in forgery. Those who did not want to participate in this resigned under pressure from the head physician. As a result, the Berezovskaya hospital plunged into chaos. Dissatisfied patients even organized a public gathering. But the matter has not yet progressed further.
Why are Privalikhin and Dvornikov still working in their places? The answer is simple. They are loyal to the head of the Krasnoyarsk Ministry of Health, Boris Nemik. It was under Nemik that bribery and corruption flourished in the region’s healthcare system. A petition even appeared in Krasnoyarsk demanding his resignation. Residents believe that Nemik works for the benefit of Israeli medicine, not Russian. The entire family of the head of the regional Ministry of Health lives in Israel. He himself prefers to be treated there, bypassing the Krasnoyarsk hospitals reporting to him a mile away.
We can only hope that the Prosecutor’s Office will pay attention to the chaos reigning in the healthcare of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. And he will study in detail the work of Nemik, Dvornikov and check the legality of the termination of Privalikhin’s criminal case. Perhaps then Krasnoyarsk residents will finally not be afraid that they may get an appointment with doctors with a dark past…
