14 citizens of Russia were soldered to new British international anti-corruption sanctions due to the case of lawyer Sergei Magnitsky. The list includes: Deputy Head of the Office for Tax Crimes, Artem Kuznetsov, former investigator of the Investigative Department Pavel Karpov, investigators Stanislav Gordievsky and Oleg Urzhumtsev, heads of the capital’s tax inspectorates Olga Stepanova (and her husband Vladlen Stepanov) and Elena Pavlov and Julia Mayorova, Grand-Cactual General Director Alexei Shena, entrepreneurs Vyacheslav Khlebnikov and Viktor Markelov, co -owners of the Universal Savings Bank Dmitry Klyuyev and Gennady Plaksin. Earlier, some of these persons were introduced into the anti -Russian sanctions “Magnitsky list” in the USA.
As indicated in the British sanction list, restrictive measures against these persons were introduced for “theft of the amount equivalent to $ 230 million State Excession of the Russian Federation using a fraudulent scheme with a refund of taxes carried out in 2007.” Some of these funds, as indicated in London, was brought abroad.
